Cookie Policy
Cookies are small browser values sent with requests; localStorage and sessionStorage store values in your browser. Their purposes are different from advertising tracking.
1. Required session and authentication storage
The gustola_business_session HttpOnly cookie maintains an authenticated business session for up to five days and is cleared on logout. Google/Firebase may use authentication-related storage during sign-in under its own policies. These technologies are not used to identify public menu browsing for analytics.
2. Local preferences and convenience
gustola.locale and gustola.theme in localStorage store your chosen language/theme until you change or clear them. Other tabs on the same origin receive preference changes. The menu editor keeps expanded categories and scroll position in sessionStorage for that tab. Cart contents are stored in localStorage on your device; they are not an order sent to a restaurant. Clearing site data resets these conveniences.
3. Visitor statistics
A temporary browser value helps avoid counting the same action more than once within 20 minutes and measure active visits. Page views, products, campaigns and each contact method are counted independently. Reports show aggregated statistics, not personal browsing histories. No advertising pixels or cross-site advertising profiles are used. You can clear browser site data at any time.
4. Third parties and controls
Opening a map or external link can transmit technical information to its provider. External services may use their own cookies. Manage or remove cookies and local storage through browser site settings; blocking essential authentication storage may prevent sign-in. Private browsing may remove local preferences when the session ends.
